Residential Energy Unit (REnU) Operation & Maintenance
When your REnU is installed, the actual operation of it is seamless and virtually undetectable. Besides showing off on your roof top so that all of your neighbors can see that you are supporting a smart, elegant new technology that happens to be a far superior alternative to generating power, your REnU will be converting sunlight directly into electricity without any mechanical parts and without any release of emissions – day after day. There is no noise, no foul smells, and no unsightly pollutants, only clean ever-present power.
This power is monitored through our system controller. The controller provides the needed instructions to ensure that your solar panels are operating at their maximum efficiency, that each micro-inverter is functioning properly, that the power generated is distributed according to the best set of priorities, and that the interplay of power between the utility, your REnU, and you is recorded appropriately and reported to you and us on a daily basis.
If the system were to ever fail, or even decline in performance too rapidly, our controller will report the malfunction and we will have a service technician repairing the problem immediately. You may not even know that a repair took place, except for the fact that we will notify you and let you know what we are going to do and what we have done.
As an added layer of monitoring, your system’s generation performance can be compared with other REnUs in the area, with its own historical performance, and with forecasted calculations that adjust for real-time climatic conditions. By doing this we can accurately assess whether a system performance decline is either an individual event or a total area event, in which cases the prior would likely need a service call and the later would likely be explained by variable weather.
No matter what the case is, you will never have to worry about maintaining the system, replacing parts, or wondering if the system is performing to its best ability. And as you can see, we can do all of this without having an obtrusive presence; moreover, it can be done on a daily basis as opposed to a monthly basis.
