Residential Solar Energy System: Rental Fees
The rate at which you contract to rent the solar system is based on the average rate currently published by your utility company to the Utility Commission. Since the Forward Rental Agreement (FRA) is a performance-based agreement, you are renting the solar panels & related equipment on its ability to generate electricity. The unit of measure utilized in this performance is the kWh. If the system does not generate electricity, no charge is applied. There is no minimum monthly fee, base fee or connection fee.
This rate is made available to you prior to signing an FRA. As well, your present utility rate can be found by querying our contract rate for your area – provided your utility is within our present service territory. The rate is fixed and guaranteed for the duration of your FRA, whether it is one year or 25 years.
The rate is applied to all electricity generated by the solar system and our company will also guarantee that the solar system is engineered to produce no more than the average of your three prior years of electricity consumption in any year of the contract period, unless otherwise agreed to by you. By engineering a solar system to meet your historical annual needs electricity, we believes that adverse net-metering laws should not affect you negatively.
