You may or may not have had some login or password related issues with our corporate Websites. I've had a number of people say the process is a little difficult the first few times around. You may have tried this process already but I thought I would give you a step-by-step process to follow or pass along to others who might be having difficulties.
Remember: You should enter your password manually because a copy and paste from the email that Citizenre auto generates often causes problems. Try the following - IF you are having login issues.
OPTION A: Login & Passsword - Regenerating a New Password
Password Problems? Lost your password? Remember to check your spam folder for the corporate emails. For that matter, you should check to make sure my email address is added to your address book ( Daniel.Stouffer@Solargies.com ).
To Regenerate a New Password:
Go to http://www.rethinkingsolar.com
Click on "My Account" at the VERY TOP RIGHT HAND SIDE of the page.
You will now see a username and password page, click on the phrase "I forgot my login information".
The system will now prompt you to enter your correct, registered email address.
Wait a few minutes and check your email, you will receive a email with your user name and new password.
Go back to http://www.rethinkingsolar.com
Click on "My Account" at the VERY TOP RIGHT HAND SIDE of the page.
Enter by manually typing in your user name and password from the email. Often times if you do a "copy and paste" right from the email, you'll get an extra space or somthting causing issues.
As soon as you are logged on to the site click on the "Change password" link.
Change your password to something that you can remember easily.
Remember to also make note or change your User Name to something you can remember. When logging in, you will be entering your User Name and NOT your email address. This is often gets confusing for a lot of people.
OPTION B: Adjusting Your Cookie Settings & Refreshing Your Login Data
Here's a second step that I've asked a number of people to try. The login process ends up working...it's just our stupid computers...one thing or another trips them up.
Firefox
Let's try deleting your cookies / private data so that you session & login information will be reset. In Firefox, you can access the Tools drop down...then select to Clear Private Data. Then try to logging into your Citizenre customer again.
Internet Explorer
In IE, you can select Tools > then Internet Options > then the General Tab > then select the button to "Delete All Cookies".
You may also want to adjust the privacy settings for the cookies that you accept. Still within the Internet Options dialog window > you can select the Privacy tab > then move the slider down to the "Low" setting. This should let you accept the Citizenre-generated cookies easier. This last step is definitely optional. It's up to you whether you wish to adjust your cookie settings.
I hope this makes sense. Sometimes the way your Internet browsers are set up by default when they are loaded onto your computer can cause some issues. If you happen to be using Internet Explorer exclusively, I would suggest you try downloading Firefox. It is free. I have not had issues at all while using it with the corporate Websites.
